We recently took on this former listed Coach House and converted it into three luxury homes. The Grade II building was on the council’s at risk register and in need of urgent attention.

The result is a building of great character with many of the original features including high ceilings and large Georgian sash windows.

The scheme provides 1 x four bedroom and 2 three-bedroom family homes with ample garden and recreation space. It’s set at the foot of the South Downs and alongside the historic London to Chichester Roman Road.

We acquired two adjacent bungalows on a ¾ acre plot and were successful in getting planning at our first attempt for three 250m2 houses. The bungalows were demolished to make way for these large contemporary meets traditional homes. To achieve this, we used a modern timber frame construction with a mix of polymer render, handmade clay tiles and brickwork to create a crisp yet traditional exterior finish.

Each house has a similar layout with 4 bedrooms, two en suites and a large open plan kitchen/dining room. Internal finishes include oak flooring and joinery, high specification kitchens and natural stone tiles with underfloor heating.
